Myerscough staff recognised in national sustainability awards

Established in 2004, last week’s Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges. With sustainability moving up the agenda, the Awards have become established as the most prestigious recognition of best practice within the further and higher education sector.

Myerscough had two nominations in two categories -

Creating Impact - Sustainability to the FORE!: Using research and education to support the golf industry’s environmental journey (John Fry)

Research with Impact - Effectively applying tree biology to an increasingly urban world (Andy Hirons)

Their work was celebrated at a special awards celebration in Liverpool, attended by Andy and John, along with Chief Executive and Principal Wes Johnson, and Assistant Principal Higher Education, Zulakha Desai.

University Centre Myerscough was also a category sponsor, which was presented by Wes Johnson.
