Thursday 25 April

Myerscough is throwing open its doors in the summer as part of Open Farm Sunday.

EHI59611 77E9a7cc68fb4a14b96ae1d6b334a50b

It's on Sunday, June 9, between 10am and 4pm.

This year, LEAF Open Farm Sunday celebrates its 18th anniversary with a focus on encouraging more farmers to open their gates, tell their unique stories and put farming centre stage.

Myerscough will be opening its Lodge and Lee Farms as part of the event for visitors to get a feel for how we operate our two commercial farms.

There will be animal displays, machinery, external trade stands, children's activities, food zones and careers advice all day long.

Please note that as the site is a working farm that no dogs will be permitted.

This event is FREE of charge but places will be limited so booking is required.

Book your place here!

This year's theme is 'Farming with Nature', and we're keen to showcase to the public how British farmers are working in harmony with the environment to produce food sustainably.

Confirmed attractions so far include:

  • Small selection of stalls, including Cross Apiary selling our very own honey!
  • Sheepdog demonstration
  • Meet the Myerscough Animals. The yard will have a walk through so they can see the donkey, goats and sheep.
  • Countryside walk, through our farmland (where you might see our emus!)
  • Farmyard Ales available at our pop up bar
  • Land Rover off road experience (paid activity)
  • Quizzes and activities
  • Farm to Fork Food
  • Dairy unit walk through -  a chance to see our robots and calves
