As part of Myerscough College’s 125th anniversary celebrations, an initiative has been launched to find 125 new apprentices in 125 days.

Myerscough is one of the largest providers of specialist land-based apprenticeships in the country, and this latest campaign will promote the benefits of apprenticeships to employers across the country and encourage them to support the scheme and recruit apprentices within specialist vocational areas.

The College has an in-house Employer Services Team, who support employers every step of the way, and also provide detailed advice on funding, the apprenticeships levy and the process of recruiting apprentices. The team oversees the recruitment of hundreds of apprenticeships each year across the country, and offers a free recruitment service.

Employer Services Manager, Lee Price said: “Apprenticeships provide a wonderful opportunity to develop new skills, inspire new ideas and to support succession planning within any organisation.

‘’At Myerscough we are privileged to witness first hand on a daily basis the benefits they bring to business and those taking up these positions. We gain immense pride and satisfaction in seeing the careers of apprentice's flourish within our specialist sectors.”

“I would actively encourage any business who is thinking about apprenticeships to get in touch. We can provide first class advice and guidance and support you every step of the way. We are aiming to help businesses recruit and train 125 apprentices over the next 125 days which is a challenging target, but one we know with hard work and focus we can achieve.”
