Welcome to Myerscough College!
This page is for applicants who have submitted an application, have a conditional place on an apprenticeship or have an invitation to an interview.
Your Route to Enrolment!
You will have or will soon receive an email or letter to advise you of any steps that you need to take. You will be on one of the following routes:
Route 1: Complete an Online Assessment and Attend a Workplace Meeting
Applicants who have been allocated this route will need to complete an Online Assessment before their application will be processed. They will then attend a meeting in the workplace with their employer and one of our specialist Tutors. You should follow the instructions in your email or letter to ensure that you are fully prepared for the meeting. The Online Assessment will provide us with an overview of your Maths and English skills. You can select this link for detailed information about how to access the Assessment.
The results of the assessments will impact on the type of course we may be able to offer you. You also may be asked to complete another test in supervised conditions later on in the process to confirm your original score.
Route 2: Attend an Interview and Advice Session
You and your employer may be invited to an Interview and Information session. You should check your email account on a regular basis to ensure that you receive the invitation (in some cases you will receive an invitation by letter). During the session we will assess your suitability for the course and ask you to complete a Maths and English assessment. We will also provide you with an overview of how the course will work and ask you to sign some paperwork that will form part of the Learner, Employer and Learner Contract.
Route 3: Fixed Start Date courses
Applicants who have been allocated this route will need to attend a meeting in the workplace with their employer and one of our specialist Tutors. You should follow the instructions on your email or letter to ensure you are fully prepared for the meeting.
Support with Your Learning
If you are accepted onto your course, the College will assess your needs and put any additional support in place that may be required. External support is available from services such as Remploy http://www.remploy.co.uk/supportingapprentices.
