How To Apply (Online Services)

Part-time applications

Part-time and online courses are listed on each subject page. You can also apply to study any of the Year 1 (Level 4) modules as a single study module as part of a CPD programme. This can later be accredited towards a Foundation Certificate or Foundation Degree if you wish to progress. Applications for part-time and online degree courses, Foundation Certificates and Single Study modules should be made directly to the College. Apply online using the online application function linked to each part-time course factsheet**. Alternatively, for a printed application form, please call Course Enquiries on 01995 642211 or email enquiries@myerscough.ac.uk.

An offer and an invitation to meet us.

When your application has been reviewed you may receive a conditional offer (usually dependent on your exam results) or an unconditional offer, if you already meet the entry requirements and have sent us a copy of your qualification certificates. Alternatively you may be invited to attend an Interview or an Applicant Day.

All applicants are given the opportunity to visit the College, view the facilities and meet the course tutor to discuss the course content and any aspect of the application process. Don’t forget that we also have a series of monthly Advice Mornings for you to come and look around.

Entry requirements

The College aims to be as flexible as possible in its approach to its entry requirements. Our ultimate consideration is your ability to complete your course successfully and develop a keen interest in the subject. Entry requirements for specific courses are listed on the course factsheets, which you can find by looking under Higher Education Subjects, or by using the search. Taking a year out? Ask for deferred entry You might want to take 12 months off between school and college. Maybe you fancy finding a job so that you can gain some valuable practical experience or you might want to go travelling and discover the world around you. If you do, we’re happy to consider your application for deferred entry - then you can take time off, secure in the knowledge that you’ve got a place at Myerscough College starting in the following September.

Applications from mature students

If you’re thinking of returning to College, but are worried about whether you will fit in, remember that many of our students are over 21 when they join us. Some have decided to return to study after working or raising a family and want to improve their career prospects. If you do not meet the formal entry requirements, but feel that you have the commitment and aptitude to study at this level, we welcome your application. Please contact the Admissions Team before applying, as we might ask you to complete a pre-entry assignment to ensure that you’re comfortable with the content and level of the course.
