Myerscough College floristy students are preparing to host their major exhibitions of the year.

Exhibition time for Myerscough floristry students

The Level 6 Professional Floristry & Floral Design, BA (Hons) students hold their exhibitions as below:

'Memories Fade' - currently held at South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre. Commenced on Friday 8th April and features the work of Sophie O'Regan.

'The Psyche Exhibition' - held at Preston Pavilion in Avenham Park is being hosted this week by Nadia Davies and Jessica Moore.

'Inspiration from Japanese Tea Ceremony'  - features the work of Kazuyo Yamada and is currently running within the 'Gallery Space of Myerscough Plant World.

'Rebirth Exhibition' - features the work of Elizabeth Baker will also be set within the Grounds of Myerscough College, Plant World.

'Pandora’s Soul' by Graeme Robinson will commence on Monday 18th April and is further afield at The Bank Field House Museum, Halifax.

The work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh is featured at 'The Hill House, Helensburgh, part of the National Trust Scotland is the location chosen by Sheila Barr to host her 'Floral Art Exhibition' which commences on Monday 18th April.

The Level 5, Professional Floristry & Floral Design, Foundation Degree students, hold their exhibitions also within the Myerscough College, inside Plant World. Their contributions will include works for the aspects 'International Design Trends’, 'Cultural Design Trends' & 'Wedding & Event Floral Design'.

Lecturer, Julie Phillips said: ‘’The students are all working very hard towards completion of their work, some towards graduation, and some towards progression for next year.

‘’We want to wish everyone the best of luck and hope you can take enjoyment from your achievements and the labours and efforts you have all put into your work. You all deserve what you have endeavoured to achieve. 

‘’I’d ask students to take the opportunity to visit the exhibitions across campus and those further afield, of our Level 5 and 6, students and support your colleagues and build your own research progress for next year.’’
