Student Life

At Myerscough, we are proud to have a dedicated Student Engagement Officer who is based full-time on campus and located at The HIVE – our vibrant student hub. We offer a weekly enrichment timetable packed with a diverse range of clubs and activities designed to help students develop new skills, make friends, and get the most out of their college experience.

Our enrichment programme includes everything from sports and football clubs to creative arts sessions and sustainability projects, ensuring there’s something for everyone. In addition, students can relax and socialise in our welcoming social spaces, which feature games rooms equipped with pool tables, arcade machines, and music – creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere at the heart of student life.

In addition to our on-campus activities, we also offer a wide range of off-campus trips throughout the year. These include exciting visits to theme parks, Scare Kingdom, museums, and even relaxing days out to the beach, to name just a few.

We also regularly host special events on campus, inviting external organisations and running full-day experiences that bring our college community together. Whether it’s for fun, learning, or wellbeing, there’s always something going on to enrich student life at Myerscough.

Being student-led is at the heart of everything we do at Myerscough. We actively encourage students to take the lead in shaping their own college experience by creating and running their own clubs and activities. Our dedicated Enrichment Officer is always on hand to support students with ideas, planning, and promotion.

So, if you’re thinking about starting your own club or have an idea for an off-campus trip, don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’d love to help bring your ideas to life!"

We’re also proud to offer students the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) – a nationally recognised programme that builds confidence, resilience, and leadership skills through fun and challenging experiences. Whether you're working towards your Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award, you’ll get the chance to learn new skills, volunteer in your community, and take part in exciting expeditions.

Our dedicated staff will support you every step of the way, from planning your journey to achieving your award. Taking part in DofE not only looks great on your CV or UCAS application – it’s also an unforgettable adventure.

Interested in getting involved? Speak to our Enrichment Officer or visit The HIVE to find out how to join!
