New veterinary qualifications set to be offered from September

Myerscough College and University Centre is set to offer two new veterinary programmes from September 2026, subject to VetSkill approval.

The first of these is a Level 5 Diploma for Veterinary Nurse – Medical Nursing programme.

This advanced qualification is designed for qualified Veterinary Nurses working in practice who want to deepen their medical nursing expertise, enhance patient care, and progress their professional skills.

• Ideal for VNs looking to upskill and specialise

The next is a Level 2 Certificate in Veterinary Care.

Perfect for starting your journey in the sector, this qualification is ideal for those working in, or aspiring to work in, veterinary practice who want to develop core knowledge and practical skills to support animal care and the veterinary team.

• Level 2 qualification in veterinary care

• Strong foundation in animal care and practice support

• Suitable for those new to the profession or in support roles
