Myerscough’s Women's Rugby Academy will be based at the College’s Preston campus, and will offer talented female rugby players aged 16 and over, the unique opportunity to live and train as professional athletes, whilst studying towards qualifications that can lead to a career in professional rugby union or the wider sport sector.

Female students will enrol on a Level 3 programme, whilst living and training like elite women’s rugby players, in partnership with Sale Sharks Rugby. Students need to display a willingness to learn and a commitment to succeed.

The partnership is designed to develop technical skills, tactical knowledge, physical conditioning, and all-round knowledge of the game, and what it takes to become an elite women’s rugby player.

Myerscough College is holding a ‘Taster Day’ for the new Girls Rugby Academy at the Preston campus on Friday, October 23rd.

The day has been designed to allow potential female students the chance to see what Myerscough College can offer. Scan the QR code below to register. Prospective make students are also invited to attend this day to find out more.
