A group of 35 students & staff were fortunate to travel to support the event logistics for both the first LIV Golf Tour event of the 2026 - LIV Golf Riyadh - and The PIF Saudi Ladies International.

By special invitation, Myerscough students gained unique enrichment opportunities at both events including on-course scoring, caddying, marshalling and TV operations, gaining sector leading real world experience at the top of the professional game.

Myerscough was invited to take part by LIV Golf, the Ladies European Tour, Golf Saudi, PIF (Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia) and 54, the management company / event promoters for the tournaments, who covered the entire cost of the trip, such is the reputation that Myerscough has for the high quality of students able to be provided for such events.

Rick Daniels, Myerscough College and University Centre’s Golf Performance Director, said: ‘’We have well established and existing links with the professional golf tours, and this was actually our ninth event in Saudi in the last two and a half years alone.''

‘’A huge thanks to Michael Wood, who is a past golf degree graduate of Myerscough who is now the Series Director for Professional Golf Events at 54, for his continued trust in our students and the opportunities they continue to provide.

‘’These are fantastic, bespoke, industry placement opportunities for our student groups, that compliment the other incredible opportunities that we also provide at some of the biggest courses and tournaments the sport has to offer.’’
