This one day training programme costs £320 Assessment will be on a separate day to the training (this is usually a date later the same week) This training and assessment programme only covers Unit 270 of the Award, Operating handheld pesticide injection equipment to apply pesticides to stems, such as Giant Hogweed, Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam. Entry requirements & additional information

Candidates must have achieved the L2 Award in the Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1). To be able to access the course material, candidates who have not completed the qualifiations within the last 3-5 years, must have evidence of a refresher completed by a reputable trainer. We reccomend refresher training every 3 years to stay abreast of legislation updates. The qualification covers callibration calculations for chemicals and so candidates must have basic maths skills.
Assessments are completed with an external assessor, generally a separate date later the same week as the training. The assessment is a combination of theory and calibration knowledge plus a practical task and generally lasts approximately 1 hour.

Candidates are expected to provide their own PPE for both the training and assessments. A list will be provided up on confirmation of the course - please contact us on shortcourses@myerscough.ac.uk if you require this sooner. Stem Injection Equipment is provided for both the training and assessment. NPTC rules require candidates to bring photo ID to both the training and assessment.
