Supported Internship Programme (Non-EHCP)

About the course

Supported Internship is one type of study programme specifically aimed at young people who want to move into employment and need extra support. They are intended to enable the young person to become 'job ready'. Internships normally last for one year and they include one year work placements for at least 6 months. Students complete a personalised Study Programme. Maths and English are also delivered as an important element.

Students need to be 16-24 years old.

The main intended outcome is Supported Employment, which will be achieved by working in conjunction / partnership with other organisations such as Job Centre Plus (Access To Work), Brothers of Charity, Mencap etc.
