About the course
This Entry Level 3 NCFE Motor Vehicle qualification is intended to be accessible to a wide range of learners of all abilities. Learners can develop a 'hands-on' approach to their learning and gain practical skills, knowledge and understanding in their chosen vocational area. The skills, knowledge and understanding gained may help learners prepare for work through real or simulated work situations and may contribute to preparing them for working life beyond education.

To apply for the EL3 Motor Vehicle course, students need to be working at EL3 and have passed EL3 Maths and English or at least be working towards EL3 Maths and English.
Students access Maths and English sessions weekly which enables them to work towards a qualification. Maths and English are also embedded within our course curriculum such as, cost of parts, vehicles weights, capacities, air and tyre pressures, symmetry, time, torque setting, shapes, spanner and socket sizes.
It will enable students to progress onto Level 1 Motor Vehicles and give students the opportunity to develop lifelong skills, for example maintain their own vehicles in the future.
