Entry Level 3 CG Diploma Skills for Working Life (Animals)

About the course

This is an entry level course for adults and young people who are interested in a land-based job. It is suitable for students with moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The award is offered at Entry Levels 2 and 3 and focuses on a variety of land-based vocational activities. Each level of the course takes an academic year to complete. It will provide students with the basic practical skills and knowledge you need to either gain employment or progress to further training. It will also help develop common, social and interpersonal skills and widen life experiences.

Entry requirements & additional information

Students need to be 16 or over and have an interest in a practical subject to qualify. No previous qualifications are required and the College provides support for those who have learning difficulties and disabilities.
You will be assessed in class through written questions, and on the zoo through practical assessments.
On completion of this course it may be possible for students to progress onto a Level 1 course or into work.
Minimum Age: 16 years old Costs that are mandatory for the course: Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for practical elements approx. £30 (There may be bursaries available to support with the purchase of these items.)
