Work-Based Tutor in Horticulture (North West)
About the role
Would you like to use your knowledge and experience to inspire the next generation of horticultural professionals?
Do you want a role that offers flexibility, professional development, and a great work/life balance?
If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Work-Based Tutor in Horticulture, you will mentor and support apprentices as they develop their skills and knowledge through the Horticulture and Landscape Operative apprenticeship standards. You will work flexibly to manage and visit a cohort of apprentices across the North West region who are employed in a variety of horticultural settings.
Your role will be to engage, motivate, and guide apprentices to achieve their full potential by delivering effective, inspiring, and industry-relevant teaching, learning, and assessment.
Apply today to join our team of professional Work-Based Tutors and help shape the future of the horticulture industry.
Location of work
This is a field-based role supporting apprentices across the North West. You will work primarily from home, with full support from the College. You will be required to attend Apprenticeship and Skills development days at our Preston campus 3 to 4 times per year (subsistence and accommodation provided). From time to time, you may also collaborate with other tutors or deliver sessions from specific sites. On occasion, you may be asked to work outside your usual area for business reasons — in which case accommodation will be provided.
