The awards are aimed at businesses which are located or deliver services within the Wyre area, and aim to celebrate success stories and promote excellence within the county.

Myerscough has been shortlisted in the category of Rural Business of the Year ahead of the ceremony at Marine Hall, Fleetwood on November 7.

This year, the awards will be hosted by celebrated local comedian Steve Royle.

The finalists in Rural Business of the Year are:

A&G Precision and Sons Ltd

Fold House Park Ltd

Myerscough College and University Centre

Councillor Peter Le Marinel, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Planning Policy at Wyre Council said: “It is incredibly exciting to announce the successful shortlisted businesses for the 2023 Wyre Business Awards. We’ve received more submissions than ever, almost 150 entries overall which is fantastic and a testament to the sheer amount of successful businesses we have in Wyre.

“Special thanks must go to all of our applicants, the standard was exceptionally high and it’s going to be a difficult one for the judges to choose the winners this year.

“The countdown now begins for the awards ceremony and I congratulate all of our finalists on making it this far. I would like to wish all of these remarkable businesses the very best of luck.”

Being named a finalist recognises the College achievements and vital role that Myerscough has played in helping the local area over the last year, and highlights the College’s outstanding work across both academic and professional services operations.
