After the team’s win on Rally Sweden last weekend, the atmosphere at the M-Sport headquarters was electric, and the students thrived from this, developing the skills needed to deliver rally winning products, developments and designs.

Two first year students, Molly Pate and Josh Brocklehurst, have been working within the electrical and transmission departments throughout the week and both ending in the fabrication department. Both received some amazing feedback from the M-Sport technicians and impressed the team with their enthusiasm and attention to detail.

Returning after his successful placement last year, second year Connor Sisson started the week building the Hybrid Rally 1 Puma World Rally Cars, ready for their assault on the World Rally Championship. He then moved to the engine department to learn the critical skills needed to keep the heart of the Pumas pumping. Connor again impressed the team at M-Sport with his attitude and experience of building competition vehicles.

The trio have gained a number of different skills and processes during their week long placement that will be a great benefit once they complete their studies. The three students will return to M-Sport for an additional eight week placement over the summer break to gain more industry skills and experience.
