Myerscough motorsport degree students stay on track
Published: Friday 2 October 2026Three teams of Myerscough College & University Centre Motorsport degree students began the new academic year with a track day test at Snetterton Race Circuit in Norfolk.
Involving students from all three years of the Management and Logistics and Competition Car Technology programmes, two students managed the planning, area set-up and data recording, while other students made up three teams, each taking turns to check the car between sessions and undertake practice pit stops ahead of the 116 Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy race at Donington later this month.
New motorsport lecturer Marcos Vrandecic managed the technical aspects, while Chris Boyle oversaw the management and Simon Moss acted as a customer, driving the car on track and giving each of the team number one technician’s feedback for set-up and maintenance.

The test was a great success, and with some of the students having never attended an event before, it was great to see those with more experience passing on their knowledge and guidance.
The final Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy round of the season takes place at Donington Park on Sunday 18th October.
