Myerscough College cricketers prepare for Dubai tour
Published: Thursday 8 January 2026Myerscough College cricket students are preparing for an exciting tour of Dubai later this year.
Following on from a highly successful tour of South Africa in 2025, the tour will provide Myerscough learners an incredible opportunity to compete, develop, and experience the game on an international stage.
This tour is another example of how our provision at Old Trafford continues and create opportunities for learners to flourish by combining elite cricket performance with outstanding education.
Myerscough learners benefit from a cricketing and educational programme like no other, designed to develop players on the pitch and prepare them for success beyond it.
Andy Massey, Myerscough Old Trafford Centre Manager and cricket programme leader, said: ‘’From world-class facilities to global experiences, the journey just keeps getting bigger.
"I think the 16-18 age-group is pivotal for the future of cricket.
"It's really important that we keep providing opportunities, keep them hungry. We're fighting the good fight, slowly getting there."

"Inclusion and opportunity are at the forefront of our mindset: how do we provide a better opportunity for these guys to develop their skillsets, and how do we make cricket accessible?
‘’Our offer at Old Trafford is thriving and a place learners want to be. We are much more than what the classroom has to offer as we are creating exceptional young learners with a mindset to thrive and make a difference in society.’’
Myerscough will play a number of competitive fixtures during the tour as well as training and a host of team building and enrichment activities, as part of the tour.
