Megan’s career on track with Apprenticeship Achievement Award
Published: Thursday 12 June 2025Our latest Apprenticeship Achievement Award has been presented to Megan Van Bergen.

Megan is currently completing a Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard programme with Northern, and workbased training and assessment through Myerscough College.
Megan has demonstrated significant and consistent progress since beginning her 1-1 support sessions. Her assessment writing has greatly improved, reflecting the time and dedication she has invested in research and study. This has enabled her to include substantial detail and depth in her knowledge-based responses.
Despite facing learning difficulties and the additional challenge of working within a predominantly male industry something she has found difficult at times, Megan has continued to apply herself with determination and resilience.
Megan consistently goes above and beyond expectations in her assessment work. She has developed increased confidence in her practical skills and is now able to work independently when required in the workplace.
Megan makes excellent use of learning support, fully engaging with guidance provided during sessions and approaching her development with a positive and proactive mindset.
Congratulations to Megan and we wish her all the very best for the remainder of her studies and future career.
