A group of University Centre Myerscough golf degree graduates have headed to the USA to begin the next stage of their careers.

Thanks to Myerscough’s superb connections, they have all been given the opportunity to progress to an internship at the prestigious Frenchman’s Creek Beach & Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Eight graduates - Charley Hatley, James Wearden, Jack Aston, Tom Crookson, Ben Jeavons, Joshua Mantle, Daniel Lynch and William Capstick - have joined the team this year, all of whom flew out during the last week of September to undertake their induction and preparations for their roles.

They join the existing Golf Operations Team that already consists of past University Centre Myerscough graduates, namely Will Jones, Chris Horn, Ross Clewley, Jose Maria Caeiro, Will Syddall, Joshua Betson and Ryan Campbell, with most of that group already working at the venue for a large part of the year. Meanwhile, Will and Chris have both been there long-term and are now US residents.

They all work within the Golf Operations team at the Resort, undertaking various roles and responsibilities to equip them with the vocational skills required to progress further within the golf industry, should they wish to leave the States.
