First Aid
First aid skills are essential in any environment, providing the knowledge and confidence to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Whether in the workplace, outdoors, or everyday life, having trained individuals on hand can make a significant difference in reducing injury and potentially saving lives.
Our first aid short courses are designed to equip learners with practical, up-to-date skills that meet current health and safety requirements. Delivered by experienced trainers, these courses combine theory with hands-on practice to ensure you are confident in dealing with a range of emergency situations, including CPR, use of defibrillators (AEDs), injury management, and incident response.
In addition to the standard Level Three Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, we provide First Aid +F, a specialist course tailored specifically for those working in the arboriculture industry. This programme goes beyond basic first aid, covering the types of injuries and emergency situations more commonly encountered in high-risk outdoor environments.
While designed with arborists in mind, First Aid +F is also highly relevant for those working in other high-risk sectors such as agriculture, forestry, and groundcare, where remote locations, machinery use, and physical work present additional challenges.
Our courses are ideal for:
- Those needing to meet workplace first aid requirements
- Individuals working in high-risk environments
- Employers looking to train staff in practical emergency response
- Anyone wanting to gain valuable, life-saving skills
We also offer bespoke first aid training for organisations, which can be delivered on-site or at our college facilities to suit your needs. Please contact shortcourses@myerscough.ac.uk to discuss training for your organisation.
By completing a first aid course with us, you will gain recognised certification, practical experience, and the confidence to act effectively when it matters most.
