Senior Equine Events Assistant – Based at Preston
My career at Myerscough College – Inspiring Excellence
The Commercial Services area at Myerscough College has undergone a positive restructure which has resulted in growth. A number of vacancies are available and we would love you to be part of this new and exciting team at a time where we are looking at fresh ideas, creativity, and a desire to improve and build on an already brilliant team.
About the role
This is an integral role within the Equine Facilities at Myerscough College. With 3 arenas, including an International Arena, this is a busy environment for both teaching and commercial activity. We have strong links with British Dressage, British Showjumping and many local clubs so we run regular shows here and are looking for someone with equine experience who can join the team to support these amazing events.
You will be working with a vibrant and supportive team who are all incredibly knowledgeable in their field. You will also have the opportunity to support some of our other events across college, utilising your event experience.
The role involves evening and weekend work but we take a fair and flexible approach. We would encourage you to contact us before applying to talk about how the hours and commitment might work for you. Please email equestriancentre@myerscough.ac.uk or call 01995 642115 to speak to one of the team.
Safeguarding our students is of paramount importance. Our recruitment process has been designed to keep students safe and to ensure that we appoint safe and suitable people.
All successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment background and safeguarding checks.
The successful applicant will be responsible for complying with all safeguarding policies and practices, and for ensuring student safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything they do.
This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
We are an equal opportunity employer; we want all our candidates to have a fair and equal opportunity to secure employment with us. We encourage applications from all underrepresented groups: BAME applicants, disabled applicants, and LGBT+ applicants.
