About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Support Technician within the IT & MIS Department.

This is a key technical position within the College’s IT & MIS Department, responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network and systems infrastructure. The Network Support Technician plays an essential part in maintaining the smooth operation of IT services that support learning, teaching, and business activities across the College.

You will work closely with the Network Manager and wider IT team to monitor, maintain, and develop the College’s virtual environment, network hardware, and security systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues, managing network tools and backups, and contributing to the College’s disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

In addition to providing expert user support for staff and students, you’ll be involved in testing new technologies, maintaining the College’s IT asset register, and helping to drive innovation and efficiency in our systems. This is a varied and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
