About the course

Introduction: This course is intended for people who work or would like to work in the Canine Industry. The basic principles of Canine First Aid will be taught, and then expand on syllabus knowledge which can happen ‘in the field’ of the canine workplace, looking at The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Recover Guidelines legislation. A cross section of different Canine First Aid subject matter will be covered. There will be practical CPR and Bandaging on life size Manikin dogs, so everyone experiences ‘hands on’ practice.  What are the entry requirements? Interest in first aid for dogs  How long is the course? 1 Day What will the course involve? This is a professionally structured CPD Course with a framework which allows professionals to upskill throughout their career. It helps both academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated. Each person who enrols on the course will receive a recognised Accredited CPD Certificate of Attendance and holds points for anyone who needs to complete a CPD Logbook.  What equipment will I need? Writing paper and a pen, sensible footwear and clothing. How will I know if I am making progress? Feedback throughout the day. What course work will I be expected to complete?
