About the course
This is a broad based course which covers areas including Sport and Football Studies. This course provides you with a comprehensive introduction to Sport and Football. It is extremely popular with school leavers who wish to combine a practical based training programme with sound theoretical knowledge. The course is designed to give you a broad understanding of football studies, with a view to progressing to one of our Level 3 Diploma courses, or to start work in the sports industry. It also incorporates a number of FA courses that enable learners to complete recognised National Governing Body qualifications.

Entry requirements & additional information
This course covers practical skills and relevant background knowledge. Students are normally aged 16 or over and the following qualifications are needed: 2 GCSEs at Grade D (3) or equivalent, one must be English Language.
All units are internally assignment based assessments, apart from, Anatomy & Physiology and Fitness for Sport, which are externally assessed exams. Assessments will include assignments, external exams and practical work.
Level 2 students can progress to level 3 programmes subject to published entry requirements and satisfactory performance at level 2.
