Work-Based Tutor in Arboriculture 0.4 – Fixed Term (Internal Applicants Only)

My career at Myerscough College – Inspiring Excellence

About the role

Are you passionate about the arboriculture industry and looking for a new way to inspire and support the next generation of professionals?

We are excited to offer an internal opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our Apprenticeship & Workforce Development team as a Work-Based Tutor in Arboriculture. This role is ideally suited to someone with industry experience who’s ready to share their knowledge and support apprentices to thrive in their roles and succeed in their qualifications.

As a Work-Based Tutor, you’ll work directly with apprentices across Lancashire and the North West, delivering exceptional teaching, learning and assessment, supporting progress reviews, and preparing learners for End Point Assessment.

Please note that this role is fixed term for 6 months.

Apply today to join our team of professional tutors.

Location of work

This is a field-based role supporting apprentices across Lancashire and the North West. The tutor will work from home, fully supported by the College, and deliver training at apprentices' workplaces and other relevant locations used by the College to support arboriculture provision. There is a requirement to attend Apprenticeship and Skills development days at the Preston campus, which take place four times per year—subsistence and accommodation will be provided. You may also occasionally collaborate with other tutors or deliver from specific sites as part of place-based education. From time to time, you may be required to work outside the usual area for business reasons, in which case accommodation will be provided.

Why join us?

At Myerscough College and University Centre we have a nationally and internationally recognised Further Education, Higher Education, Adult Education and Apprenticeship provision. The Further Education provision is well established, the Higher Education provision has a well-recognised partnership with UCLan and the apprenticeship provision is operational nationally. We offer a rewarding and enjoyable working environment, where colleagues are inspired to make a positive difference to the educational experience and employability of our students. We are one of the top five largest land-based and sports colleges in the UK.
