Estates and Projects Manager – Based at Preston
My career at Myerscough College – Empowering Futures
Our Estates and Facilities service at Myerscough College has recently reviewed its structure and operations, and is incredibly excited to be growing our team. We would love you to be part of this, at a time where we are looking at fresh ideas, creativity, and a desire to improve and build on an already brilliant team.
Not sure what to apply for, or whether to apply? Join us for a recruitment open evening on Monday 28th July where you can meet our managers, some of the team, and find out more about us and the roles available. Please see attached more information below.
About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, this is a key role for our service. Working across all centres you will contribute to the development of our new Estates masterplan and support the delivery of it. All our projects will start with you, to ensure the right project board is convened and there is a clear project journey set out and, most importantly, delivered.
As an experienced Estates Manager you will oversee leases and tenancies, and see that our property portfolio is effectively managed. You will also oversee our transport, fleet, and grounds maintenance teams.
Importantly, you will have drive and ambition to see our campuses improve and become a clear destination of choice for both staff and students. You will affect this through your own team but also working closely with other managers within the service.
Please see job description for more information.
What We Offer:
We take care of our team just as we do our students. As an employee, you can enjoy a range of benefits, including:
· Regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
· Hassle free onsite parking at our Preston Campus.
· An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to provide wellbeing support in moments of need.
· Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
We are flexible working friendly and happy to discuss interest in flexible working.

Safeguarding our students is of paramount importance. Our recruitment process has been designed to keep students safe and to ensure that we appoint safe and suitable people.
All successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment background and safeguarding checks.
The successful applicant will be responsible for complying with all safeguarding policies and practices, and for ensuring student safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything they do.
This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
