Myerscough student selected for England Colleges hockey squad

A Myerscough College student has been selected for the England Colleges hockey programme for the 2022-23 season.

Zoe Dempsey Hockey

Zoe Dempsey has been selected for the Aoc Sport England Colleges Women’s Hockey programme following a successful trial. She is one of just 25 players to achieve a place in the squad.

Zoe is one of only two students selected from the North West region.  She is currently studying on the BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services at Myerscough.

The England Colleges National Hockey teams have been operating for over 20 years providing a unique and exciting opportunity for talented hockey players to perform at international level representing England Colleges through domestic and international fixtures. The team is made up of the finest athletes who meet up for intensive training sessions and play several matches throughout the year.

Zoe will now participate in a training camp early next year, as well as several other squad meet ups during the course of the programme.
