Farriery Placement Officers (2 positions) Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 energetic, dynamic farriers who want to make a real change to farriery apprenticeship training.  You must have the drive to assess students in the workplace, conduct reviews, travel across the country to complete ATF approvals and have a real interest in training and assessing.  The successful candidate will be a Registered Qualified Farrier with Graduate Farriery Qualification or AWCF, Teaching qualification is desirable.

We currently have available casual lecturing/instructing hours in the areas of Equine and Animal Care at our Croxteth Centre.  You will be required to ensure high quality teaching and learning is delivered and assessed on a broad spectrum of topics within Animal Care and Equine.  You will need a Degree or equivalent qualification in related subject, a Teaching Qualification with evidence of consistent Grade 1 or 2 Lesson Observations and high success rates with learners, and industry experience in relevant sector.
