As a leading provider of education and training in the agricultural industry we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic herdsperson to join our team who are responsible for the care and welfare of a 200+ dairy cow herd to ensure an efficient milk production.
The role will involve assisting in the planning of calf requirements, observations of the cows and record keeping of all necessary documents and veterinary medicine record books together with high quality instruction in milk production and livestock husbandry during farm practical sessions.
This post involves an average of 55 hours per week, 39 hours paid at £7.73 per hour with the overtime paid at time and a half and will be worked on a rota of 5 week days plus every other weekend and will involve night checks.
