This role will assist lecturers in module delivery, preparation of equipment and workshop areas together with delivery of practical and theoretical instruction in motorsports at FE level to ensure learners are effectively supported throughout the learning process. The successful candidate will have a motor vehicle industry background, hold GCSE level maths and English and be IT literate. A willingness to work towards a teaching qualification is essential.

Instructor in Agricultural Mechanisation and Welding Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the established Mechanisation team at Myerscough College.

This role is to assist lecturers in module delivery, preparation of equipment and workshop areas together with practical delivery and assessment of agricultural mechanisation and welding to enable learners to succeed. The successful candidate must have industry experience in agricultural mechanisation and welding. You will be required to have a level 3 FE industry specific qualification, along with GCSE (or equivalent) maths & English and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

Lecturer in Animal Studies (Veterinary Nursing modules) Croxteth, 22.2 hours per week Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Studies Team at our Croxteth centre. You will be required to deliver teaching, learning and assessment on a broad spectrum of topics within Animal Studies and Animal Nursing in Further Education.  It is essential that you have a degree in Animal Science/Behaviour/Welfare, a veterinary nursing qualification and a Teaching Qualification with evidence of consistent Grade 1 or 2 Lesson Observations and high success rates with learners or willing to undertake within agreed time period, teaching experience in the FE Sector and significant Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing Industry Experience (past or current).

Salary: £20,156 - £29,233 per annum, pro rata relating to qualifications and experience (Teacher qualified commence at £23,559)

Practical Lecturer in Animal Studies, Witton (Maternity Cover, 22 hours per week) Job Summary:  

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Studies team at the Blackburn campus at Witton Park. As a Practical Lecturer in Animal Studies you will be required to deliver the teaching and carry  out the assessment  of practical subjects across a range of courses and levels throughout the FE curriculum; ensuring integration of theory to practice. You will need to be able to work confidently with a wide range of animal species kept in the Animal Centre and provide an enriching and quality learning experience for learners. A Level 3 (FE) qualification in Animal Management and level 2 maths and English are essential along with proven experience of working within the animal care industry and previous instructing / teaching experience.

Workshop and Competitive Activities Instructor in Motorsports Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Motorsports team at Myerscough College.

This role will assist in the delivery of enrichment and competition activities together with the preparation of equipment, including competition vehicles and workshop areas. The successful candidate will deliver practical and theoretical instructions in motorsports at all levels to ensure learners are effectively supported throughout the learning process.

A level 3 FE qualification (industry specific), GCSE (or equivalent) Math’s & English, along with proven industry experience and the ability to prepare race/rally vehicles (including Formula Fords) are essential. A teaching/assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards) is also required.

Part Time Hourly Paid Instructor in Animal Studies, Croxteth Job Summary:

A part time tutor is required to join the Animal Studies team at our Croxteth Centre to deliver inspirational teaching and learning on science based modules. Applicants need to demonstrate a passion both for their subject and for teaching this to learners. A degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject with industrial experience is essential. Previous teaching experience would be advantageous.
