Work Based Learning Tutor in Agriculture Job Summary:

Established in 1894, Myerscough College is one of the UKs largest providers of land based apprenticeship training. The College sits in the top 10% of colleges nationally for academic success and is a recognised Investor in Diversity and holds the Matrix award.

With growing numbers of apprentices, we are now looking for Tutors to join our Apprenticeships and Skills team. You will work flexibly, delivering Teaching, Learning and Assessment to apprenticeship funded learners in the workplace across the North of the country.

The following opportunities have arisen to join the Work Based Training team at Myerscough College:

Work Based Learning Tutor in Agriculture

These roles will involve responsibility for the delivery and assessment of Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeships programmes in Agriculture, within the workplace, ensuring the provision of high quality training, assessment and candidate support. It is essential that you have a relevant a FE Level 3 (or above) qualification in Agriculture and a depth of experience in the industry.  It is also a requirement for these roles that you either hold a teaching qualification or that you are willing to undertake teacher training within an agreed time period.

Salary £18,008 - £25,583 per annum relating to qualifications and experience. Teacher qualified commences at a minimum salary of £20,156 per annum

Lecturer in Animal Studies – Maternity Cover Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Care team at Myerscough College. You will be required to ensure high quality teaching and learning is delivered on a broad spectrum of topics within Animal Studies, mainly Further Education. It is essential that you have GCSE (or equivalent) English and mathematics at grade C or above, a Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Animal Science/Behaviour/Welfare, along with significant experience within the animal care industry. You will also need to have teaching experience within the FE sector and hold a teaching qualification, with evidence of consistent Grade 1 or 2 Lesson Observations, or alternatively be willing to undertake teacher training within an agreed time period.
