Action you need to take

Assessment or Interview?

If your application is deemed suitable, we will send you an email to confirm that you have a conditional place on your chosen course. The email will also confirm if you need to complete an Online Assessment or if you are required to attend an Interview and Advice Session. 

The Online Assessment will provide us with an overview of your Maths and English skills. You can  select this link for detailed information about how to access the Assessment. 

 

Please note that the Assessment must be completed before the date of your initial meeting with the tutor.

 

In some cases

 

You and your employer may be invited to an Interview and Information session. You should check your email account on a regular basis to ensure that you receive the invitation, in some cases you will receive an invitation by letterDuring the session we will assess your suitability for the course and ask you to complete a Maths and English assessment. We will also provide you with an overview of how the course will work and ask you to sign some paperwork that will form part of the Learner, Employer and Learner Contract.

What should my wage be?

If you are currently in employment, your employer is required by law to pay you at least the current National Minimum Wage until your apprenticeship has officially started. Visit the Government website here for more information about wages and minimum requirements.

Is there any support to help me with my learning?

 

You can access the College Support Page by selecting this link

If you are accepted onto your course, the College will assess your needs and put any additional support in place that may be required. External support is available from services such as Remploy http://www.remploy.co.uk/supportingapprentices.
