Myerscough College has a long history of successful delivery, outstanding support and guidance, close employer links, high levels of customer satisfaction and a responsive ‘can do’ attitude. There is a magical friendly atmosphere which is repeatedly commented on from visitors to the College and this must originate from the staff and students.

It is Our VISION that Myerscough will be the College of choice in the land-based and sports sectors. "Opportunities for all to succeed"

Our MISSION is to continue to be a leading provider of education in the land-based and sports sectors and the natural choice for research, industrial partners and students who aspire to success.

Underpinning all of this are our VALUES;
  • Respect for yourself, each other and the environment.
  • Welcoming, honest and open.
  • Safe and supportive culture.
  • Inspiring learners and staff.
  • Positive and dynamic attitude.
We seek applications from motivated people who can share our ambitions and live our Values.  We acknowledge that our staff are our greatest asset.

Working at Myerscough will allow you to enjoy the various fantastic centres, in rural locations and with free parking.  All staff are eligible to join either the Teachers’ or Local Government pension scheme which are both final salary schemes.  The College operates a Staff Review and Development scheme to identify training and development needs, to review performance and to set targets to support the College strategic objectives.

Teaching staff are either qualified or working towards a teaching qualification provided through our teacher training team through Continual Professional Development.

At the start of employment, all new team members undergo an induction programme which includes safeguarding training, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and all are invited to meet the Principal over a coffee and cake!

All Myerscough College staff are employed directly by the College which again demonstrates our commitment to all staff. A generous sick pay scheme is in operation for those times when illness cannot be avoided and there are also generous schemes in place in relation to maternity/paternity and adoption leave.

The College is committed to Equality and Diversity, providing opportunities for all, and respects that each person is different; ethnic origin, gender, disability, mental health, sexual orientation, age, religion and belief and economic and social need. The College also commits to the Two Ticks Disability symbol and is keen to help and support employees at work through the access to work scheme.

Myerscough College is pledging to become a leading provider in equality, diversity and inclusion in the education sector. The ‘Investors In Diversity’ quality mark is awarded to establishments who strive to improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) practices within their organisation. Myerscough achieved the prestigious stage 1 award last summer. It’s hoped that the College will reach its target of obtaining the stage 3 award – and therefore becoming a ‘Leader In Diversity’ – by early next year.

We encourage applications from committed, enthusiastic candidates who can help us live out our values and mission – have you got what it takes?
