Lecturer in Construction Plant Maintenance, Land-Based & Railway Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Construction Plant, Railway and Land-based Engineering department at Myerscough College.


The successful candidate will join a successful and dynamic team delivering engineering principles across a range of pathways including Construction Plant, Railway and Land-based engineering pathways, thus ensuring the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment to meet the expectations of industry. 


It is expected that the successful candidate will have current industry knowledge, experience and skills in at least one of the pathways, ideally Railway traction and rolling stock, but the College along with industry partners will also provide opportunities to up skill as required. Sound knowledge and skills around welding and fabrication would also be desirable.


It is essential you hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Construction Plant, Land-based Engineering or Railway Engineering or related industry qualification at level 3. You will have a full Assessors Award, English and maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above or be willing to achieve these qualifications within an agreed timescale.
