The College provides a wide range of catering services onsite which offer a variety of different options. 

  • Richmond’s Restaurant – located opposite the Winmarleigh teaching block
  • Pickles Sandwich Bar – adjacent to the Minimarket/Lecture Theatre
  • Arena Café Bar – next to the International Arena
  • Higher Education Coffee Bar – in the Higher Education building
  • Garden House Tea Room – by the Plant Centre 

All students living in halls of residence (except self-catering students) will be on a 5 or 7 day meal contract depending on the option chosen when applying for accommodation:

  • 5 day meal contract (15 meals) – Monday breakfast-Friday evening meal inclusive
  • 7 day meal contract (21 meals) – Monday breakfast-Sunday evening meal inclusive

 When you move into accommodation, if you are on a meal contract, you will be issued with a temporary meal card which will be valid for 2 weeks.  The temporary meal card must be produced at every meal until you are registered on our biometric till system.  You must register on the system during the 2 week period at Till Point 1 in Richmond’s Restaurant between 9.30–11.30am, 1.00–2.30pm or 6.00–6.30pm.

Opening hours are subject to change and will be publicised on the notice boards in/near the catering outlets.

All catering outlets are available to cash paying customers at any time during opening hours and there are a number of vending machines across campus for out of hours service. 

Breakfast is a cooked/continental breakfast.  At lunch and evening meals, both full cooked meals and snacks are served.  Please see the notice boards in the catering outlets for meal allocation details.  Packed lunches are available to order.  Please order via a member of the Catering team 24 hours in advance.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please speak to the Catering team who will endeavour to accommodate your needs.  Allergen information is available in all catering outlets.  If you need this information, please ask one of the catering team.

The catering staff value your comments, feedback and opinion on the catering service.  If you have any suggestions or other items to raise at any time, this can be done through:

  • The suggestion boxes in each catering outlet.
  • Through the higher education and further education course representative meetings held regularly each term.
  • Surveys and feedback forms throughout the academic year.
  • Contact with any of the Catering Management team 

Please be aware we expect courtesy to be extended to the catering staff at all times.  Swearing or shouting will not be tolerated and the throwing of food items or rubbish is not acceptable.  Non compliance with the Myerscough Code will be dealt with in the appropriate manner.

Muddy boots, hats, dirty overalls, other outer work clothes or sleepwear must not be worn in the catering outlets.
