                                                                             Additional Support
We understand that for many 16-18 year olds this is the first time they may be living away from home. To support them whilst they are residing here we have a dedicated team of residential support officers who are available 24/7 to ensure students receive an enriching experience, as well as overseeing health and safety, and behaviour in the residential halls.

For the safeguarding and welfare of all under 18 students:

  1. All students under the age of 18 at the start of the academic year will be required to live separately than those aged 18 and above.
  2. All halls are single gender halls- no guests of the opposite gender are permitted.
  3. All under 18 students have an 11pm curfew. Residential Support Officers will run a report at 11.00pm each night to check that all students who have not been signed out are present within their halls. If a student is found to be missing, every effort will be made to locate the student, including contacting parents/guardians or the police.
  4. Parent Portal- Parents/guardians of under 18 year old students are required to register for the parent portal to sign out any under 18 student who is going home overnight including length of stay and expected return date . Parents/guardians will also be required to record, via the Parent Portal, that their son/daughter/ward has returned home safely
