What’s included in my ticket price?

Your ticket price includes full entry to the Open Day, access to the programme of events within all six of our main arenas and the huge range of activities taking place in each of the subject areas across the site. Parking is free. You may find that some external entertainment charge a fee for their activities.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Well behaved dogs on a short lead are very welcome to enjoy the day free of charge. You’ll also find water stations for their refreshment across the site.  Please respect the environment by picking up after your dog and placing in one of the marked bins.

What about disabled access?

Our campus is very flat with good access throughout for guests using a wheelchair or walking aids. We have a designated separate disabled car park for Blue Badge holders and we operate a regular free shuttle service from the car park to the centre of campus. Disabled toilet facilities are also available across the site.

What about footwear?

You are strongly advised to wear good walking shoes when you come to the Open Day. Although most of the activities are on hard surfaces, there is a lot to see and walk round.  Our Countryside Arena and Zone and the Children's Zone are on grassed areas which should be firm enough even in inclement conditions.

And buggies & pushchairs?

The event will be busy but you should have no problems manoeuvring a pram around, including on the grassed areas.

Is there a cash machine on site?

Yes – it’s located next to Main Reception in the heart of the campus. From the car park, follow the signs through from the Countryside Arena towards main campus attractions. Please be aware - our entrance tills cannot accept credit/debit cards so if you're paying on the day, you will need cash when you arrive, sorry!

How busy are the roads?

This year we've significantly improved the parking. There'll be far more traffic entrances into the campus to get people in faster. In conjunction with Wyre Borough Council, we've also employed a dedicated traffic management team for the end of the day to control traffic at the Owd Nell's junction with the A6 to ensure traffic can get back onto the A6 quickly.

Can we bring our own food & drink in?

Yes - you're welcome to bring a picnic and there are also plenty of places to buy food, refreshments and ice cream too, as well as a fully licensed and well stocked bar on site!

What time should I come?

The event runs from 10.00am – 5.00pm but we advise getting here as soon as possible to ensure you see it all. Car parks will be open before. We have a huge campus so why not arrive early and fully enjoy the day!
