Sheep show experience for foundation learners

Myerscough College foundation learning students recently headed to a national agriculture event to take part in their sheep show.

Staff and students from the department were invited to the annual Borderway Agri-Expo show up in Carlisle to show off the College’s Dutch Spotted Lambs.

Thousands of visitors attended the expo in Carlisle, which saw Myerscough receive places in all of the categories entered in the Continental Sheep and Young Handler classes.

A spokesperson for event organisers, Harrison & Hetherington, said: ‘’Congratulations for making the 10th Borderway Agri Expo a huge success and we trust you all enjoyed the day.

‘’We are delighted with the outstanding standard of cattle and sheep on show making Borderway Agri Expo one of the top Winter Fairs.

‘’There was a great atmosphere on the day and an outstanding show of all livestock On behalf of Harrison & Hetherington Ltd I would like to thank you for your individual support to this event.’’
