Principal’s charity Golf Day a success

This year’s event was again a huge success as more than a thousand pounds was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

As usual, the day was overseen by Foundation Degree Golf Management students at the College, who ran the whole event and made sure the requirements of the day were covered as part of their Event Management Module for their studies.

A team from Aegis won on the day, with a team from Pinington coming runners-up and CAD Associates in third place.

Principal of Myerscough College, Ann Turner, said she was delighted that the money was going to such a worthy cause, commenting: ‘’Well done to everybody on making the event such a big success.’’

‘’The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity very close to my heart, as my grandson suffers from the condition. They do so much fantastic work to fight this dreadful illness. The monies raised from last year’s Golf Day paid for valuable research and once again this year’s efforts are greatly appreciated by both myself and the charity.’’

‘’Once again we had a number of our close suppliers and partners take part in the event and I thank them for their help in raising so much for such a worthwhile cause.’’
