RAG week has raised almost £2,000

The week-long event included several gate collections at the College’s Bilsborrow campus, as well as a raffle and four supermarket bag-packs.

The students also took part in an agricultural auction at Brockholes, with the Myerscough pantomime horse available as a lot, with the highest bidder getting twelve hours of student labour.

The Student Union volunteers also teamed up with John Cross School in Bilsborrow to do a litter pick.

Jake Jones, Student Union Liaison Officer, said: “We raised an astonishing £1935.08. The volunteer students got all to all different activities to raise money for their two chosen charities, North West Air Ambulance and Bone Cancer Research Trust.’’
