The ceremony will take place next month as part of a celebration of the tenth anniversary of the bksb Skills Conference, which is held at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

The Skills Awards aims to reward the quality and diversity of educational delivery and achievement in the best educational establishments, along with the most dedicated members of the teaching profession and their learners. They celebrate outstanding, pioneering and innovative work in the development of English and maths skills.

Myerscough College is nominated for Provider of the Year, while Steve Jones, Lecturer in Maths, is shortlisted for Teacher of the Year, for his work with the College’s learners currently undertaking an apprenticeship in railway engineering.
