Myerscough’s Student Union RAG Week has raised hundreds of pounds for the Charity of the Year, the North West Ambulance Service.

So far they’ve raised more than £700 from their annual Raise & Give (RAG) Week activities, which this year included gate collections at the College’s campus entrances, as well as taking part in an agricultural auction at Brock Auction Mart, with the Myerscough pantomime horse available as a lot, with the highest bidder winning a day of student labour.

The Garstang Fairtrade Steering Group held a Fairtrade stall with chocolates and juice, while equine students organised a bag pack at Booths in Garstang.

Jake Jones, Student Union Liaison Officer, said: “We raised a fantastic amount again. The volunteer students got to do all sorts of different activities to raise money for their chosen Charity of the Year.

‘’The Students Union have worked hard to make this year’s RAG Week hugely successful, for a very worthwhile cause.’’
