Interview Information

Interview Information

Some of our applicants will be invited to a College interview. If you are offered a place without an interview and you have further questions about the course, then you can request a virtual meeting with your programme leader (contact 14to16@myerscough.ac.uk) or attend one of our advice mornings. Some areas may invite you to a taster day, we will contact you directly if your area plans to hold one.

The interview is a chance for you to see the College facilities and have a face to face discussion with a course tutor about why you would like to study your chosen course.

You may also get the chance to partake in a practical/workshop session where applicable. In some Learning Areas you may be asked to take a short test which may include a numeracy and literacy test.

You will also be given Information Advice and Guidance on

  • Finance
  • Transport
  • Next Steps
  • Learning Support - If you require additional learning support, please visit the Inclusive Learning page for more information.

Who to bring along?

You are more than welcome to bring your parents, guardians or a friend along to support you. Some of the information given may be of interest to your parents or guardians. Some courses have restricted guest numbers but you will be advised of this on your interview invitation.

In a rush?

We will try to keep waiting times down to a minimum but some waiting will be inevitable. If you need to leave early, please advise the tutor at the start of the process.

Can’t make the date?

There are very often waiting lists for interview places. If you are unable to make your allocated date please let us know as soon as possible by emailing 14to16@myerscough.ac.uk.
