Woodworking Skills - Box Making - Day

About the course

3 Days - 22nd, 25th & 29th August 2017

Designed as a follow on from the basic skills level course, this specialist course gives you the chance to further develop your skills to the art of 'box making'. With expert guidance, you are again introduced to the variety of techniques and equipment enabling you to gain and improve new skills, to produce a useful and attractive final piece.

Ideally you will have attended the basic and the improvers level course and already have some knowledge about dovetail joints. This course moves onto making a row of dovetail joints when making a memorabilia box, similar to that as seen on www.pennyproductions.co.uk

This project will also give you the opportunity to work with hard wood such as oak and elm

Special Requirements

All tools, equipment and materials are provided and included in the cost of the course. Although the use of power tools is not included on this course it is strongly advised to wear stout foot wear and non-loose clothing.
