Woodworking Skills - Projects - Day

About the course

This course focuses on the design, planning and build of a specific item or project. Candidates will need to have previously attended at least 2 of the other Myerscough College short courses in woodworking skills, basic, improvers level courses or box making course.

Using the tutor’s guidance, you will be able to discuss in the early stages the requirements and the project idea along with the amounts and list of the materials to make your own unique, useful or attractive final piece.

The aim is to finish a suitable project within the time scale, or be at a suitable stage to complete yourselves at home after the course ends.

  • Manufacture

Special Requirements

All tools and equipment are provided and included in the cost of the course. Although the use of power tools is not included on this course it is strongly advised to wear stout foot wear and non-loose clothing.

Due to individual requirements of each project, candidates will be required to provide their own wood/materials
