About the course

This course involves exploring what you can make using anodised aluminium and acrylic to create wonderful jewellery and exciting decorations.

This course is suitable for complete beginners or anyone with metalworking/ silver-smithing experience. You do not need to have any experience working with either of these materials, as you will be introduced to the techniques required during the course.

You will be introduced to metal and acrylic manipulation techniques to design and create jewellery or decorative pieces with colour, style and exuberance! You will work from flat sheets of metal and/ or acrylic to create three-dimensional pieces using a variety of techniques and processes including cutting, forming, hammering, riveting and many more processes.

You will also be able to include other materials such as silver, nylon, leather, beads etc to compliment your jewellery/ decorative piece(s). Aluminium and plastic will be provided. Silver accessories can be purchased from the course tutor.
