English Netball is absolutely buzzing following on from the history-making success of the National team at the Commonwealth Games in Austraila in 2018 - with their nail biting last-second victory against the home nation securing them a first ever gold medal in the sport.
Netball is already the UK’s number one female participation sport, with England Netball having more than 100,000 active members and approximately 1.4million women and girls playing netball at some point in a typical season. Myerscough College’s Netball Academy, run in partnership with Manchester Thunder, supports the growing number of students interested in a sport which has long been a key part of the sporting courses and enrichment programmes at the College.
