About the course
This short course will enable you to recognise signs of ill health in horses, including the correct way to take TP&R and when to call the vet. We will also look at ailments that are common in horses managed in modern regimes.
What are the entry requirements?
Interest in horses, horse management and health. Those with their own horses who wish to learn more about horse health, how to recognise ill health and common ailments.

A mix of practical and classroom based delivery

Pen / pencil and paper for notes.
Yard clothes. Gloves and a riding hat may be helpful.
How will I know if I am making progress?
Improved knowledge and confidence in identifying ill horses, understanding of the ailments common in today’s horses and how to avoid these ailments.
