ASDAN Entry Level 3 Diploma in Life Skills

About the course

This is an entry 3 course offered over 3.5 days per week. The content has been developed around preparation of life and work, independent living and personal and social development. The course is aimed at young people with moderate learning difficulties. As well as work at College and on the practical units at Myerscough, the course includes consideration of the environmental issues around College, community projects, at Beacon Fell for example, taking part in a range of sports and developing skills for work.

Entry requirements

Students need to be over 16 and have an interest in a practical subject to qualify for the course. No previous qualifications are required. The College provides learning support for those who have learning difficulties and disabilities.

Progression

On completion of the course it may be possible to progress onto either of our Skills for Working Life courses.

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for practical elements.

Foundation Learning

We provide a range of Foundation Learning full-time and part-time courses for students with additional needs. Our aim is to help students develop a range of important skills - social, academic and vocational - whilst providing the support and encouragement for them to grow in confidence and express their personality.

The Foundation Learning team has built up an excellent reputation over many years for successfully working with students who have a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
