Myerscough Basketball Academy

Designed to provide students with the unique opportunity to live and train as professional athletes, the Myerscough Basketball Academy will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of the game, whilst studying towards academic qualifications that are designed to provide the ideal pathway to university level degree courses or the professional world of Basketball.

Regular on-court success

At Myerscough, we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for our students to test themselves against the best of the rest. In our first year of existence we won the Elite Academy Basketball League Western Conference and repeated the success in 2014-15 as well as winning the EABL National title. Last year also saw us win the AOC National Cup.

The last year has seen the Academy continue its success, winning the EABL Western Conference again and having several players chosen for scholarships in the US as well as national honours.

Experienced Coaches

Our Basketball Academy is overseen by Head Coach Neal Hopkins who is also Head Coach for English Basketball League team Lancashire Spinners. Neal is supported by coaches and fitness instructors with a wealth of experience in amateur and professional basketball.

A tradition of excellence

Team success is one thing but we can also celebrate the individual success of many of our players. Examples include Kyle Carey, Alex Roberts and Zion Tordoff who were chosen in EABL Western Conference teams of the season. Kyle was also named EABL West Conference Player of the Year.
