Bronze  Livery   Monday to Friday part livery horses on DIY Saturday and Sunday and Bank holidays 

 

To include Stable and use of all facilities

Haylage

2 feeds per day (basic chop, mix/cubes) no balancers or feed supplements included.

1 bale of bedding

Feed and Net am

Muck out (am) & rug change

4pm net

NB during turnout months horses will be turned out (am ) and brought in (pm) where necessary but no rug changes will be done.

EQUINE HYDROTHERAPY COLD WATER SPA

Myerscough College Hydrotherapy spa

The Equine Hydrotherapy Spa is an alternative treatment which is recognised by many insurance companies.

If you horse is refereed by a veterinary practitioner or registered farrier many insurance companies will pay for the hydrotherapy treatment ( please referrer to individual policies)

The unit operates between 2-4 degrees centigrade using an air jet system which massages the limbs, salts and magnesium within the water assists in the healing process. 

The benefits include

* encouraging better granulation

* improving circulation

* Reducing swelling and inflammation

* improving horn growth

* improving gait and general demeanour

* Pain relief

Conditions that may benefit from using the spa

 

* tendon and ligament damage

* bone damage (bruised /sore shins), splints and fractures

* Joint conditions such as arthritis, degenerative bone disease and OCD

*  Soft tissue swellings, lyphangitis, infections to wounds, over reach injuries ,open wounds and puncture wounds
